Enteric campylobacter infections range from asymptomatic to severe infections characterised by bloody or non-bloody diarrhoea, fever, and abdominal cramping. The incubation period for Campylobacter is two to five days and are generally short-lived with most people fully recovering within one week. Although usually short-lived, Infections may also lead to long-term health issues complications such as Guillain-Barré syndrome and reactive arthritis. Human-to-human transmission is uncommon.
